Dr. Seuss once had a license plate “GRINCH”




Thurl Ravenscroft sung “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”. He was also the actor who gave his voice to Tony the Tiger in the Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes commercials in 1952 – 2005.

Theodor Geisel was 53 when he wrote the book which happened to be the same age as the Grinch

The original Grinch was not green in the books. He was in fact illustrated using minimal color and was basically colorless. The exact shade of green used for the Grinch as chosen by Chuck Jones after he encountered many rental cars that had a similar ugly shade.

Near the end of the TV ended animated film the Grinch’s eyes changed color from his evil shade of red to a blue to match his change to his personality from evil to good.
