Our Top 10 Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Movies

We have created a list of our top 10 Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson movies. This was a hard choice to make as they are all pretty good and we had a really hard time choosing our favorite one. Number 10: Baywatch (2017)

Dwayne Johnson not only stared in this movie he was also executive producer. This action comical film also stars Zac Efron, Jon Bass, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra. The movie is about the legendary Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) who leads his elite squad of lifeguards on a mission to prove that you don’t need to wear a badge to save the day. When a dangerous crime wave hits his beach he is determined to make it right.

Number 9: Get Smart (2008)

The action comical movie is based on the Mel Brooks and Buck Henry’s television series of the same name. The movie stars Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Jonson and many more. The Chief (Alan Arkin) has to promote his eager analyst Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) to a field agent. Smart is then partnered with veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway who are then tasked with preventing a terrorist attack. ‘Get Smart’ received mixed reviews from the critics and had a $80 million budget and earned $230 million in the box office

Number 8: The Rundown (2003)

One of my favorite original movies with The Rock is The Rundown. Unfortunately, is was huge box-office failure grossing $81 million worldwide on a $85 million budget. The movie features The Rock who plays Beck a tight lipped bounty hunter who doesn’t like to use a gun and will accept any job without asking questions. When Becks employer sends him to the Amazon to locate his employer’s cocky son Travis (Played by Sean William Scott) Beck sons discovers the population is being controlled by a treasure hunter (Christopher Walken). To get out of this crazy ordeal Beck and Travis must work together to locate a lost treasure and survive.

Number 7: Snitch (2013)

This American action film is about a 18 year old who receives a mandatory 10-year prison sentence after being caught with a package that contained illegal drugs even though he unfortunately had no idea of its contents. His father John Matthews (Dwayne Johnson) a businessman is devastated after learning about what happen to his son. When Jason turns down a chance at lessening his sentence his dad John begs to be sent under cover instead. The already extremely dangerous venture turns deadly after he exposes a major player in the Mexican drug trade.

Number 6: Pain & Gain (2013)

Pain & Gain is Michael Bay directed, this dark comedy crime film starring our favorite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Mark Wahlberg. The movie is based on a story from Pete Collins and was published in 1999 series of the Miami New Times articles and complied in the book Pain & Gain; This is a True Story (2013). The movie consists of extortion, torture, kidnapping, murder and lots of suspense. This is all organized by a group of criminals of bodybuilders affiliated with the Sun Gym. The movie had mixed reviews from critics who praised the acting, script and chemistry among the main actors. The film grossed a $86 million worldwide which isn’t bad from a $35 million budget.

Number 5: San Andreas (2015)

This is a highly action packed movie with Dwayne Johnson family love. Its about Ray Gaines (Dwayne Johnson (a LAFD search and fire rescue helicopter pilot who go on a mission with his ex-wife to not only save the people of San Andreas from a magnitude 9 earthquake but to also find and save his daughter (Alexandra Daddario) to safety.

Number 4: Central Intelligence (2016)

Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Is a great comical move featuring are very own Dwayne Johnson who plays Bob Stone a bullied over weight teen. Who then shows up to his high school reunion looking muscular and fit like The Rock does. While in town he finds the comical Kevin Hart who plays Calvin Joyner. Who plays a fast talking accountant who misses the glory days of high school as a popular athlete. Bob Stone is now a secret lethal CIA agent who needs Calvin’s help to save him. They must work together in order to save the world from chaos.

Number 3: The Fast and Furious Franchise

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson helped bring back the Fast and Furious Franchise from the dead. Dwayne Joined the cast in time for the 2011 Fast Five film as Luke Hobbs. Everyone has love Dwayne’s roll in the series that him and fellow costar Jason Statham will be getting there own spin off from the movie.

Number 2: Moana (2016)

Moana is a strong willed daughter of the Chief of a Polynesian village, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess. Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod played by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the hope of returning the heart of Te Fiti and saving her village. This is set out to be some of Dwayne Johnson’s best work. Not only does he resemble Maui but he also has amazing singing voice.

Number 1: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)

The remake of Jumanji is about a four high school kids who discover a old video game console and are drawn into the games jungle setting. They literally turn into the adult avatars tat they chose. They soon discover fast that you don’t just play Jumanji you must survive it. In order to beat the game and return to the real world they have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives. Kevin Heart, Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan and Jack Black have done some of their best work in this film and highly comical and recommended.
